Dr. Frannie Léautier is Senior Partner and CEO of SouthBridge Investments. She has worked in the public, private and and not-for-profit sectors. She was previously Vice President African Development Bank (AfDB) and Chief Operating Officer Trade and Development Bank (TDB), and served fifteen years in several senior roles at the World Bank, including as Infrastructure Director, Vice President, and Chief of Staff to the President. She also was Executive Secretary of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). She serves on the board of UN Foundation, Orca Energy Group, Norsad Capital, CFAO, Les Eaux Minérales d’Oulmes, FSD Africa, and Momentum/Metropolitan Life. She chairs the Investment Committees of the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) and Birimian Ventures. She was co-Chair on World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Councils, previously on the boards of the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC), Institute for Security Studies (ISS), King Badouin Foundation US (KBFUS), Nelson Mandela Institute for Science and Technology (NM-AIST), African Risk Capacity Ltd, ODI, and World Resources Institute (WRI). She has authored several books and was distinguished professor at Sciences Po Paris. She earned a Masters and PhD in engineering from MIT, and doctorate in Law from Lancaster University.
