Bagoré BATHILY is 48 years old, married and father of 2 daughters.
After his baccalaureate in Senegal, he left for Belgium for study veterinary medicine. He then worked as a rural veterinarian in Europe for 2 years, then in a Mauritanian NGO dedicated to rural development.
In 2006, returning to Senegal, he founded « LA LAITERIE DU BERGER » with the aim of building the Senegalese dairy sector to link the production of traditional breeders to the growing demand of urban markets. The latter has until now been satisfied exclusively by products based on imported milk powder.
In 10 years, the company has become the leader in fresh dairy products in Senegal.
Bagoré considers social entrepreneurship as a new effective tool to face the challenges of social and economic development in a sustainable manner in Africa.
