Brenda Gunde is the Global Senior Technical Specialist for ICT4D at International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) and is responsible for providing technical advice and leadership in the adoption and integration of digital technologies into IFAD's programme of work aimed at supporting smallholder farmers. Her career spans the provision of leadership in business engagement and digital transformation, particularly the application of digital technologies to facilitate rural development.
Prior to joining IFAD, she served as an ICT Specialist for UNICEF and has an extensive background in the non-governmental sector, including SOS Children's Villages International, World Vision International, and Action Aid International, where she led the ICT function to leverage digital technologies to facilitate rural development. She possesses a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the University of London-SOAS and a Master of Business Administration in ICT Management from the University of Leicester.
