Adesuwa Ifedi is the Africa Senior Vice President for Heifer International, driving ground-up innovation to transform smallholder farming communities and end hunger and poverty in Africa. With 28 years of experience across agriculture, education, finance, research, entrepreneurship, and tech-enabled innovation, she has developed expertise in BOP development, scale, board management, and fundraising. She has initiated and led large-scale programs, including a technology-enabled education transformation program serving over one million at-risk children and a platform mobilizing funding for local innovators supporting smallholder farmers.
Adesuwa is a strategic thinker and team builder with a passion for making markets work for the poor. She has worked with global INGOs and social enterprises to localize their business models and has supported hundreds of start-ups and emerging businesses as a business consultant. With a background in Economics and Statistics, an MBA from Lagos Business School, and a Post Graduate in Entrepreneurship from Boston University, Adesuwa is a Fulbright Scholar and Hubert Humphrey fellow. She has spent 20 years driving development in the global south by providing access to innovation, finance, and life skills for low-income families.
